Suggested Uses for Cricket Powder
Crickets are a fantastic source of nutrition. They offer a sustainable alternative to traditional sources of protein, with more than double the amount of protein per gram to beef. They also have very high levels of vitamin B12, all 9 essential amino acids, more iron than spinach, folate and both omega 3 & 6.
Cricket powder can be added to most dishes. A serving is 1 tablespoon or 15 grams, however, we suggest starting with less and as you become accustomed to the flavour in your food, increase the quantity. Some of the things we add cricket powder to are:
• Smoothies
• Baking
• Pasta dough
• Sauces
